Russell Gibson office fit-out

Our brief was to create a true reflection of the Russell Gibson brand. On the ground floor we created a customer facing suite of meeting rooms that now allow them to meet with clients confidentially and collectively, as well as a reception and greeting area that was both relaxed and in keeping with the original character of the building.

As well as refurbishing the entire building, the other main area of focus was making the most of the basement and creating a social hub that could be used as an area for the teams to get together less formally, and double up as a client entertainment space with a little bit of '"wow"!

Action

Obtaining listed building consent for the subdivision of the original rooms was a big challenge. We had to work closely with the contract, client and glazing company to create a sympathetic and minimal intervention to the original cornice details. In the vestibule we used a frameless solution to protect the detail.

Throughout the rest of the build, we worked closely with the client and contractor EDI to ensure strong brand messaging, and included everything from colour selections to the bespoke carpet that adorns the refurbished stair.

In the basement we had to challenge tradition and create a modern, funky and practical collaboration and entertainment space.

Result

The inviting ground floor space communicates Russell Gibson's brand values and professionalism, and is a beautiful blend of traditional architecture with modern accents.

Downstairs in the basement, we have made good use of the space to create a really welcoming and unique environment, that allows the business to continue to build their fun and collaborative culture.
