North Deeside Road
Located on the prestigious North Deeside Road in Aberdeen, this project enhances a charming old granite villa, rich in character and history. The renovation is being carried out in two phases, with the first phase already completed, which focuses on creating a luxurious master bedroom suite designed to evoke the tranquility of a high-end hotel retreat. The clients sought a calming, intimate sanctuary, and the design team achieved this by transforming the upstairs space into a stylish and functional haven.
The original layout featured a small bedroom, an under-utilised adjacent room, and a dated en-suite with an awkward raised section. The goal was to seamlessly integrate these spaces while respecting the villa’s historic character. To meet this vision, the design blended bespoke elements with thoughtful functionality.

The first phase introduced a stunning his-and-hers walk-in wardrobe, featuring hidden entrances and custom joinery that cleverly disguises the opening to the adjoining room. The ceiling over the bed was intentionally kept low to create a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The paneling was carefully designed to mirror the original detailing, ensuring the new additions blended harmoniously with the villa's historic aesthetic.
While the first phase is complete, the second phase is currently in the design development stage, where plans are being refined to further enhance the space and its functionality. The result of the first phase is a tranquil, luxurious bedroom suite that combines timeless elegance with modern comfort, fully respecting the home's rich heritage.
